It seems that I've become one of the several inactive bloggers around, all thanks to the demanding school work uni students are facing now.
I wonder who will still read this blog, or read this entry.
I have so much to share, yet I have so little to tell.
Well Im just typing on n on while choosing my new blog template... though I doubt I'll be an active blogger again... but its fun to browse the templates and make my rotting blog looks new again.
Uh.
Days ago I was talking to some aki friends and we realised how our conversations never go beyond the topic of architecture. How sad. My friend then commented that we are just too competitive and stressed out and it doesnt help when Erwin kept saying how panicky he was, seeing our grades at Cs Ds and Fs...
Its a rough journey, I say.
We envy our business friends who come to sch less than 5 days a week, while we spend our time in the studio more than the time at home. Come to think of it, I visited the studio 7 days in a row last wk. Hmm. Datelines are drawing near...
We envy our Arts friends, who goes to school like going fashion parade, reading their books in the day and party at night while we draw lines in the day and attend lectures at night.
Whatever lah. The list can jolly well goes on n on n on.
I miss shopping. Everywhere else except for Art Friend.
Yesterday I just had the urge to buy something, so I went Eastpoint on my way home and ta-da! I bought this 36 bucks spag top and I was so happy for the night. Hehe! Retail therapy does wonders all the time! :)
By the way, Eastpt very hip one ok! There are several new shops which sell trendy clothes that u can find in shopping districts like FEP and Parco Bugis. Heh.
Talking about Eastpoint Mall, I recalled this assignment 2 wks ago, about THE UGLIEST BUILDING you have seen so far. We were supposed to select one ugly building and present it to the class, saying why and how is it ugly to you.
Yes, I bet u've guessed it.
SPL (My friend): Eh eh, which ugly building you chose?Me: Supreme Court lor. There was this big hoohaa about the new design mah. You?SPL: Eastpoint la! Super ugly u know! I show u the photos!Me: -_-"""It was quite true to a certain extent that the building can be quite ugly. What I find it more interesting is that I had never look at the building in the architectural sense. Eastpoint Mall is always about shopping to me. Ha. So now I know, there is an ugly mall so near me.
Whats more surprising is that I found many local architecture books feature Eastpoint Mall over other more popular malls like Wisma Atria and Parco Bugis Junction! Eastpoint Mall is designed by this supposedly pretty well-known local architecture firm and is one of the few iconic heartland malls in SG!
Wahahhaa.
ok, I've found a template I like.
Selamat Hari Raya :)
Sigh. I have to go back studio to work on a public holiday!
